Ce num\u00e9ro d\u2019Equation Nutrition pr\u00e9sente 3 articles r\u00e9cents illustrant le <strong>r\u00f4le<\/strong> et l<strong>\u2019importance <\/strong>de l\u2019<strong>alimentation<\/strong> &#8211; et plus sp\u00e9cifiquement des<strong> fruits et l\u00e9gumes<\/strong> vis \u00e0 vis du <strong>diab\u00e8te de type 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bas\u00e9 sur la cohorte britannique UK Biobank, le premier article examine l\u2019<strong>association<\/strong> entre de<strong>s profils de r\u00e9gimes alimentaires<\/strong> et le <strong>risque de diab\u00e8te de type 2<\/strong>. A travers une <strong>approche globale<\/strong>, cette \u00e9tude <strong>se distingue <\/strong>des travaux ant\u00e9rieurs qui se concentrent sur les <strong>associations <\/strong>entre les nutriments et\/ou aliments <strong>isol\u00e9s <\/strong>et l\u2019<strong>incidence du diab\u00e8te de type 2<\/strong>. Les auteurs montrent notamment que les <strong>r\u00e9gimes alimentaires<\/strong> <strong>particuli\u00e8rement pauvres en fruits et l\u00e9gumes frais<\/strong> sont <strong>associ\u00e9s <\/strong>\u00e0 un <strong>risque accru<\/strong> de d\u00e9velopper un <strong>diab\u00e8te de type 2<\/strong>. Ils soulignent \u00e9galement l&rsquo;<strong>importance<\/strong> de <strong>consid\u00e9rer <\/strong>l&rsquo;<strong>ensemble<\/strong> du <strong>r\u00e9gime alimentaire<\/strong> et sugg\u00e8rent de <strong>red\u00e9finir <\/strong>les <strong>directives alimentaires<\/strong> sur la base des <strong>aliments<\/strong> plut\u00f4t que sur les nutriments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le deuxi\u00e8me article est une revue de la litt\u00e9rature explorant les donn\u00e9es relatives \u00e0 l&rsquo;<strong>impact des polyph\u00e9nols alimentaires<\/strong> sur le <strong>contr\u00f4le de la glyc\u00e9mie <\/strong>et les <strong>param\u00e8tres m\u00e9taboliques<\/strong> chez les sujets atteints de <strong>diab\u00e8te de type 2<\/strong>. Incluant <strong>9 \u00e9tudes<\/strong>, ce travail montre notamment des <strong>r\u00e9ductions significatives<\/strong> de la <strong>glyc\u00e9mie \u00e0 jeun<\/strong>, de l\u2019<strong>h\u00e9moglobine glyqu\u00e9e<\/strong>, ainsi que des niveaux de <strong>cholest\u00e9rol-LDL <\/strong>apr\u00e8s l\u2019administration de <strong>resv\u00e9ratrol<\/strong>, d\u2019<strong>anthocyanine<\/strong> et de <strong>naringine<\/strong>, trois polyph\u00e9nols notamment apport\u00e9s par les fruits et l\u00e9gumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enfin, le dernier article vise \u00e0 explorer la <strong>relation dose-r\u00e9ponse<\/strong> entre la <strong>consommation <\/strong>de <strong>fruits <\/strong>et <strong>l\u00e9gumes <\/strong>et le <strong>risque de diab\u00e8te de type 2<\/strong>. Men\u00e9e sur pr\u00e8s de <strong>40 000 adultes chinois<\/strong> issus de la province de Henan, cette \u00e9tude est l\u2019<strong>une des premi\u00e8res<\/strong> \u00e0 <strong>inclure <\/strong>des participants issus de <strong>zones rurales<\/strong>.
