Ces lieux, qui accueillent les enfants pendant une grande partie de la journ\u00e9e, emploient des personnes qualifi\u00e9es, aptes \u00e0 les guider dans leurs choix. Les enseignants et le personnel des \u00e9tablissements scolaires font \u00e9galement figure de mod\u00e8les pour les enfants, qui sont eux-m\u00eames susceptibles d\u2019influencer le comportement de toute leur famille. Ils peuvent en effet appliquer \u00e0 la maison les conseils qu\u2019ils ont re\u00e7us \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Si les donn\u00e9es disponibles montrent que les interventions dans les \u00e9tablissements scolaires ciblent principalement les jeunes enfants, en mati\u00e8re de nutrition, peu d\u2019initiatives sont destin\u00e9es aux adolescents.<\/strong> Cela semble logique : les enfants ont besoin de d\u00e9couvrir une alimentation saine d\u00e8s le plus jeune \u00e2ge. N\u00e9anmoins, les probl\u00e8mes d\u2019alimentation concernent davantage les enfants plus \u00e2g\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Le premier article de ce num\u00e9ro pr\u00e9sente une initiative encourageant la consommation de fruits et l\u00e9gumes chez les \u00e9tudiants de premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e. Ce programme part d\u2019un constat : les p\u00e9riodes de changement s\u2019accompagnent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement de comportements d\u00e9l\u00e9t\u00e8res. Mathews et coll. se demandent si la participation \u00e0 des potagers peut \u00eatre une strat\u00e9gie efficace afin d\u2019inverser ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p>Les deux autres articles s\u2019int\u00e9ressent \u00e0 un programme de cuisine et \u00e0 la mise en place de buffets de crudit\u00e9s pour les enfants. Outre qu\u2019elles montrent la voie \u00e0 ceux qui souhaitent modifier leurs habitudes, ces initiatives soulignent que, s\u2019il est vrai que la lutte contre la mauvaise alimentation commence \u00e0 la maison, les \u00e9tablissements scolaires ont eux-aussi un r\u00f4le important \u00e0 jouer.
