{"id":38247,"date":"2012-01-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-12-04T00:34:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aprifel-pp.mentalworks.biz\/fr\/resume-scientifique\/measurement-properties-of-psychosocial-and-environmental\/"},"modified":"2018-12-04T01:34:18","modified_gmt":"2018-12-04T00:34:18","slug":"measurement-properties-of-psychosocial-and-environmental","status":"publish","type":"resume","link":"https:\/\/aprifel-pp.mentalworks.biz\/fr\/resume-scientifique\/measurement-properties-of-psychosocial-and-environmental\/","title":{"rendered":"Measurement properties of psychosocial and environmental measures associated with fruit and vegetable intake among middle school adolescents."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>OBJECTIVE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">To assess the measurement properties of several scales modified or created to assess factors related to fruit and vegetable intake within a young adolescent population.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>DESIGN:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Cross-sectional with data collected via self-report.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>SETTING:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Data were collected in regularly scheduled classes in the school setting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>PARTICIPANTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">African American and Caucasian middle school students (ages 11-15 years).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>VARIABLES MEASURED:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Self-efficacy, modeling, outcome expectations, normative beliefs, parental food management practices, and influences on food choice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>ANALYSIS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Pearson correlations, factor analysis, and Cronbach &alpha;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>RESULTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Subscales with adequate to good internal consistencies (0.65-0.88) were established. Fruit and vegetable intake was significantly correlated with self-efficacy, parent and peer modeling, family and peer normative beliefs, and social and health outcome expectations.
