Selon ce travail, une consommation importante de l\u00e9gumes (blancs et rouges) est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 un risque moindre de syndrome m\u00e9tabolique. Pour les fruits un risque r\u00e9duit n\u2019est observ\u00e9 que chez les hommes. Enfin, chez les adultes pr\u00e9sentant des comorbidit\u00e9s, un risque de syndrome m\u00e9tabolique r\u00e9duit est observ\u00e9 avec une augmentation de l'apport quotidien en vitamine B2 et r\u00e9tinol, ainsi qu\u2019avec une consommation \u00e9lev\u00e9e de fruits et de l\u00e9gumes (blancs et rouges).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/35065371\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nguyen HD, et al. Selon ce travail, le passage d'un r\u00e9gime occidental typique \u00e0 un r\u00e9gime optimis\u00e9 au plan nutritionnel pourrait permettre un gain d\u2019esp\u00e9rance de vie de plus de 10 ans chez les personnes de 20 ans. Les gains sont plus importants chez les hommes que chez les femmes. Pour les personnes plus \u00e2g\u00e9es, les gains seraient moindres mais substantiels. Les qualit\u00e9s physico-chimique, nutritionnelle et phytochimique des aliments v\u00e9g\u00e9taux conventionnels et biologiques ont aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 compar\u00e9es. Les auteurs de ce travail soulignent que, malgr\u00e9 l\u2019existence de d\u00e9bats sur le sujet, les connaissances scientifiques actuelles ne montrent pas de diff\u00e9rence notable entre les aliments conventionnels et ceux issus de l\u2019agriculture biologique que ce soit en termes d'impact environnemental, de qualit\u00e9 nutritionnelle, de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et d'effets sur la sant\u00e9. Ils identifient 5 conclusions cl\u00e9s : 1. L\u2019agriculture biologique utilise des pesticides naturels et des pesticides de synth\u00e8se \u00e0 faible dose; 2. Le contr\u00f4le difficile des aflatoxines et de la contamination bact\u00e9rienne est courant en agriculture biologique ; 3. La r\u00e9duction du rendement des plantes est typique du syst\u00e8me biologique ; 4. La qualit\u00e9 sensorielle et nutritionnelle des aliments biologiques n'est pas sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle des aliments conventionnels. 5. Durant 12 semaines, les participants ont suivi cinq modules pratiques int\u00e9grant des ateliers culinaires et un module d\u2019\u00e9ducation nutritionnelle (toutes les 2 semaines). La disponibilit\u00e9 d\u2019aliments sains \u00e0 la maison et les facteurs psychosociaux associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la pr\u00e9paration des repas sains (connaissances, attitude, pratique et auto-efficacit\u00e9) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9s chez les participants et chez un groupe t\u00e9moin. Dans le groupe participant, le score moyen des quatre facteurs \u00e9valu\u00e9s et la qualit\u00e9 des repas \u00e9taient plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Peu d\u2019\u00e9tudes de ce type ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es chez l\u2019homme et aucune n'a consid\u00e9r\u00e9 le r\u00e9gime alimentaire comme un d\u00e9terminant de la composition du microbiote intestinal. Une r\u00e9cente revue de la litt\u00e9rature a pass\u00e9 en revue les connaissances disponibles. Ce travail souligne que les \u00e9tudes \u00e9pid\u00e9miologiques montrent qu\u2019une consommation importante de fruits et l\u00e9gumes pourrait ralentir la progression de la maladie d\u2019Alzheimer. Cet effet serait li\u00e9 \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence de certains composants tels quel les fibres ou les polyph\u00e9nols. Ces derniers pr\u00e9sentent en effet des activit\u00e9s antioxydantes, antiinflammatoires et anti-apoptotiques qui pourraient contrebalancer les m\u00e9canismes physiopathologiques de la d\u00e9mence.
