Il existe une strat\u00e9gie prometteuse pour stimuler l&rsquo;achat d&rsquo;aliments sains dans les supermarch\u00e9s : l\u2019approche \u00ab nudge \u00bb <sup>3<\/sup>. Un exemple de nudge est l&rsquo;utilisation d\u2019une norme sociale d\u00e9crivant le comportement d&rsquo;autres personnes similaires, en sachant que les individus, toujours d\u00e9sireux d\u2019appartenir \u00e0 un groupe, percevront le comportement de ces personnes comme la norme <sup>4<\/sup>. Fournir des informations sur les l\u00e9gumes habituellement achet\u00e9s par d&rsquo;autres clients (lesquels, o\u00f9, combien&#8230;etc.) peut donc s\u2019av\u00e9rer efficace pour promouvoir l&rsquo;achat de l\u00e9gumes dans les supermarch\u00e9s.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude a pour objectif d&rsquo;\u00e9tudier l&rsquo;effet d&rsquo;un dispositif de nudge dans les chariots d\u2019un supermarch\u00e9 situ\u00e9 dans un quartier urbain d\u00e9favoris\u00e9 des Pays-Bas : le dispositif comprend un message sur une norme sociale, la quantit\u00e9 de l\u00e9gumes achet\u00e9s, et un support mat\u00e9rialisant l\u2019endroit pour d\u00e9poser les l\u00e9gumes dans le caddie.<\/p>\n<h3>Un dispositif de nudge pour promouvoir l\u2019achat de l\u00e9gumes au supermarch\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p>Nous avons utilis\u00e9 un plan quasi-exp\u00e9rimental avec un facteur \u00e0 deux modalit\u00e9s dans un supermarch\u00e9 ayant la plus grande part de march\u00e9 aux Pays-Bas. Les modalit\u00e9s \u00e9taient les suivantes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>les jours d&rsquo;intervention, les caddies \u00e9taient garnis d\u2019un support vert pour le nudge et d&rsquo;un message de norme sociale (figure 1)<\/li>\n<li>les jours de contr\u00f4le, les caddies habituels (sans support ni message) \u00e9taient utilis\u00e9s. Les donn\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 collect\u00e9es pendant deux semaines en mai 2017, aux heures d&rsquo;ouverture habituelles, le vendredi et le samedi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Les clients avec un nudge dans leur chariot ont achet\u00e9 plus de l\u00e9gumes<\/h3>\n<p>Au total, 244 clients ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tude. Environ 60% des clients \u00e9taient des femmes, la plupart \u00e2g\u00e9es de 18 \u00e0 55 ans (51,2%), avec un niveau d&rsquo;\u00e9ducation moyen ou \u00e9lev\u00e9. L\u2019\u00e9tude montre que les quantit\u00e9s en grammes et le nombre de l\u00e9gumes achet\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es les jours d&rsquo;intervention que les jours de contr\u00f4le (tableau 1). Ces diff\u00e9rences ont \u00e9t\u00e9 confirm\u00e9es par des analyses de r\u00e9gression logistique ordinale multivari\u00e9e qui indiquent que les clients avec le dispositif de nudge dans leur chariot (n = 123) ont achet\u00e9 une plus grande quantit\u00e9 (en grammes) de l\u00e9gumes que ceux qui n\u2019en avaient pas, notamment les clients qui ont fait des courses pour moins de trois jours. De plus, les clients qui remarquaient le dispositif les jours d\u2019intervention \u00e9taient plus susceptibles d&rsquo;acheter plus de l\u00e9gumes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tableau\u00a01. Bien que l&rsquo;impact de cette augmentation relativement faible semble mineur au niveau individuel, il d\u00e9montre qu\u2019il est possible de mettre facilement en \u0153uvre une intervention en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 publique, subtile et peu co\u00fbteuse, dans les supermarch\u00e9s.
